What does it cost to sponsor a child? Sponsoring a child for 2010/11 is $ 30 per month. Your donation helps to sponsor a child in a holistic manner and for the development of their community. All money donations are tax-deductible receipt of income through the receipt that we will deliver. The sponsorship of a child is different from other development programs because, also emphasizes that there is a personal relationship with the sponsored child. Our challenge is to achieve that goal in order to complement the whole strategy of sustainable and integrated development. We have implemented the following steps to achieve this goal:
1. Personal Visits: The staff of the Foundation for the Hungry access to children sponsored at least four times a year (often children are out of their homes)
2. Learning Support: The Foundation for the Hungry helps with the progress of each sponsored child in their education (usually through the education system in each location) and where appropriate, provide special assistance to those with learning problems.
3. Medical Control: Each sponsored child receives control doctor at least once a year with appropriate follow-up cases showing disease.
4. Extracurricular Activities: As an alternative to boredom, drugs and gangs are centers for children sponsored by the Foundation for the Hungry to support them after school clubs, Bible schools during vacations and sports activities.
5. Gospel Message: Where possible, trained personnel teach the gospel message seamlessly with the aforementioned activities, in a culturally appropriate manner. The best way to help a child to term is to strengthen family and community where they live. The sponsored child is a window to the community for the Hungry Foundation because we can help in developing the resources necessary to have potable water, teaching new skills and techniques, providing educational opportunities. Thus, the benefits of sponsorship continue for long even if the physical sponsorship has ended.
